Has it been that long?

I stepped away for what seemed like a moment and now it’s 2015!

I haven’t finished my blogging journey. I haven’t abandoned my writing dream, they are just on hold for a while.

The birth of a new year, hopefully, brings with it a fresh start. You might have noticed me stopping by a few blogs over the last few months and I hope to return to the writing the odd blog post in the near future. I’ve even started editing that bloody novel again.

In the meantime, I wish you all a Happy New Year.

  1. Happy new year to you as well, Pete! Life does tend to get in the way of things, doesn’t it? I’m editing the same bloody novel I’ve been editing for 2 years, but progress, even slight, is worth being happy about.

Happy New Year! I know exactly how you feel. I’ve started a blog post with, “It’s been a few weeks since I last posted…” only to find that my previous post was six months prior! Time can surely slip away. Hope to see you around more, and good luck on the novel! I plan on starting that journey soon.

Yes, it has been that long – and we missed you. Never mind – get that novel edited. You can brag/blog about it afterwards!

    Happy new year, Pete!

Good to hear from you, Pete. Looking forward to some blog posts and Happy New Year. Hope you are well. Do you have another cat yet?

Happy New Year Pete, glad to read this. I’ve missed reading your posts!! Glad you’re back!

Nice to see you back Pete. Happy New Year.

  7. I have a way of thinking of something or somebody and it/ they pop up. Was thinking, haven’t heard from Pete in a long time. Blamed myself for writing off six whole months of 2014. Best hope for us both, all. ‘Not doing’ periods are for creative contemplation. Enjoy. Bettye

Nice to have you back, if only for the occasional visit. I’m SURE the urge will be there soon, though, attacking you with full force and smothering you with creative kisses!
In any case, I wish you a very Happy New Year! 🙂

Yes, it’s hard to believe that it’s day 4 of the new year already and I sure hope they’ve been happy ones for us all so far.

  11. I will echo the comments above — good to have you back, and do get cracking on that novel! Happy New Year, and here’s to a productive one!

  12. Best wishes for a great new year!

  13. Gwen Stephens says:

Glad to hear from you, Pete. I have been woefully absent as well, but life happens, doesn’t it? Looking forward to your next post, whenever that may be. All the best in 2015.

  14. Good to see you checking in. I had a lousy year blogging, because I gave my novel 95% of my attention when I sat down to do any of my writing tasks. Social media just took up far too much time, and I had to let it go. So, I completely understand where you’re coming from. Happy New Year!

It’s nice that you’ve stepped back in for a moment… not always good/benign news when bloggers go AWOL. All the best for 2015 🙂

  16. Great to see you back. Trying to get back on track with blogging myself.

  17. Kourtney Heintz says:

Good to have you back, Pete! Hope this year the writing keeps chugging along. Sometimes we have to take sabbaticals for work or personal life or illness etc. The most important thing is to take the time and come back when you’re ready. Hugs, Kourtney

All the best with your writing in 2015 Pete. It’s obvious we can all relate to those detours life sends us.

Let me know what you think
